The Landings Club is seeking a skilled Server to join our team. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities- Member Service: Greet and communicate with all members in a warm, courteous, and prompt manner.
- Menu Presentation: Learn and present menu and selection of wines to members.
- Order Management: Receive food and beverage orders from members and communicate to the kitchen.
- Order Retrieval and Delivery: Retrieve prepared orders from the kitchen area and deliver to members in an expedient fashion.
- Check Presentation and Closure: Present check to members and close out tickets in a timely manner, ensuring all transactions are recorded.
- Member Engagement: Smile and show genuine interest in members' needs or questions, always attempting to accommodate any reasonable request.
- Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Beverage and Side Station Maintenance: Maintain the beverage and side stations to ensure they are wiped down and free of dirty glassware, plates, and silverware.
- Training and Development: Complete alcohol awareness and food safety programs successfully within 30 days of hire.
- Communication and Teamwork: Communicate clearly and efficiently, receive information and feedback, and take action based on observations and information received.
- Departmental Compliance: Comply with departmental uniform and grooming standards, as well as departmental and Club policies and procedures.
- Age Requirement: Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age.
- Experience: One or more years' experience as a food server, preferably in fine dining.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license is required.
- Wine Knowledge: Knowledge of fine wines and liquors with the ability to recommend and serve, preferred.
- Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and presentation skills with the ability to understand and take direction.
- Customer Service Skills: Ability to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Availability: Willing to provide exceptional service to members and desire to provide leadership to position the department to achieve the mission.
- Shift Flexibility: Able to work a variety of shifts, as needed, to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Standing and Walking: Standing and walking for 100% of shift.
- Lifting and Carrying: Lifting, carrying, or moving up to 50 lbs.
- Pushing, Pulling, Bending, Stooping, and Upward Reaching: Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and upward reaching.
