Radiology Department Lead Specialist

Job Summary:
The Radiology Department Lead Specialist will oversee the daily operations of our radiology department, ensuring efficient and safe patient flow while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily work schedules of staff and monitor patient schedule to ensure efficient and safe patient flow
- Assist leadership in achieving site and system objectives, supporting site ACR accreditations and Joint Commission standards
- Demonstrate effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, fostering inter/intra-departmental collaboration and communication
- Train new staff on scan techniques and Advance Processing Workstation applications for CT staff
- Contribute to annual staff evaluations and assist in the interview process/candidate selection
- Perform duties of general CT Technologist when necessary to support efficient patient flow
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to ALARA Standards for minimizing radiation exposure
- Utilize hospital computer systems for verifying orders, viewing schedules, and sending information to PACs
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program
- 1-3 years of clinical experience, preferably with advanced/3D scanning experience
- Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), with additional CT certification within 1 year of hire (except for exempt technologists)
- Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers from The American Heart Association and/or The American Red Cross at hire
