Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting all structural calculations, including kip loadings, column sizing, cover plate sizing, beam sizing, and base plate sizing. They will also work with P.E.s to create state-certified drawings of all structural and civil drawings. Additionally, the Key Project Specialist will perform engineering calculations of drives, shafts, cylinders, and bearings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support all structural calculations, including kip loadings, column sizing, cover plate sizing, beam sizing, and base plate sizing
  • Work with P.E.s to create state-certified drawings of all structural and civil drawings
  • Perform engineering calculations of drives, shafts, cylinders, and bearings
  • Create ABMs, Work Orders for the shop and purchasing
  • Provide input to drawing development and technical support to engineers working directly for the project engineer
  • Develop creative solutions to technical issues in a timely manner
  • Check drawings or designate a checker within the group to check drawings before sending to the shop or sub-fabrication source
  • Design AutoCAD conveyor layouts to meet customer requirements
  • Visit jobsites for meetings and field checks as requested
  • Assist project manager and superintendent as needed quoting additional work requirements
  • Maintain updated task lists for the project being worked on and for engineers working with you on the same project

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or 10 years of automotive conveyor work experience

Salary Information
