About the Role:

The Danbury Hospital Outpatient Breast Center is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join its dynamic team of passionate radiology professionals.

This is a full-time role with a 36-hour workweek, requiring a strong commitment to quality patient care and adherence to MQSA requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mammography procedures to support the care of patients and contribute to the hospital's objective of quality patient care.
  • Greets patients, introduces self, and checks patient identification.
  • Reviews patient scripts to ensure the appropriate exam is being performed.
  • Explains procedures and ensures the safety and comfort of patients.
  • Produces images and analysis images for interpretation by Radiologists.
  • Assists Radiologists with invasive procedures.
  • Performs QA tests daily on equipment.
  • Maintains familiarity with computer systems to complete orders and cancel exams as necessary.
  • Recalls patient prior exam history as pertinent to the exam.
  • Exposure with other modalities.
  • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

Requirements:

  • HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT
  • One year of experience in patient care in a radiology setting.
  • Specialty certification (ARRT SPECIALTY,RAD).

Working Conditions:

  • Significant manual skills/motor coordination and finger dexterity.
  • Significant occupational risk.
  • Very Heavy effort, exerting up to 50 lbs. force.
  • Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
