Overview

Responsibilities
  • Operate CT equipment, power injectors, and other medical equipment to produce high-quality scans for diagnostic and invasive procedures.
  • Provide quality care to patients receiving diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Prepare patients for procedures using proper sterile technique, communicating effectively with them and their families.
  • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly, maintaining complete and up-to-date records.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical devices and technologies, ensuring the proper operation of imaging and specialty equipment.
  • Minimize patient and staff exposure to x-radiation, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Assume responsibility for direct care during procedures, ensuring patients are prepared and comfortable.
  • Provide quality care to patients during procedures, assisting with patient and family education as needed.
  • Support research and related activities, contributing to the advancement of radiology and patient care.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology, providing complex technical care as needed.
  • Assist with performing and planning multiple diagnostic procedures, acting as a resource for students and junior techs.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, registered with the ARRT.
  • Minimum of two years of experience, with one year in CT.
  • Advanced certification in CT preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association.
