Job Summary:

Emory Healthcare is seeking a skilled CT Technologist PRN to join our team. As a CT Technologist PRN, you will be responsible for operating CT equipment, power injectors, and other medical equipment to produce scans for diagnostic and invasive procedures. You will provide quality care to patients receiving diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures, preparing them with proper sterile technique and communicating their needs and responses through verbal and written correspondence. You will also ensure documentation is complete and accurate regarding all aspects of patient care.

Responsibilities:

Operate CT equipment, power injectors, and other medical equipment to produce scans for diagnostic and invasive procedures.
Provide quality care to patients receiving diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
Prepare patients with proper sterile technique and communicate their needs and responses through verbal and written correspondence.
Ensure documentation is complete and accurate regarding all aspects of patient care.

Requirements:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and be registered with the ARRT.
Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience, with one (1) year in CT.
Advanced certification in CT is preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association is required.

Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock , Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
