We are seeking a highly skilled Security Officer to join our team at Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company in North America.

Job Overview

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with sensitive information and personnel while protecting classified materials and sites. As a Cleared Security Officer, you will receive specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with your clearance level, allowing for skill development and professional growth in the security field.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism
  • Conducting patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
  • Greeting guests and employees, and escorting visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points
  • FOLLOWING SITE-SPECIFIC PERFORMANCE MANUALS AND POST ORDERS; REPORTING SAFETY CONCERNS, SECURITY BREACHES, AND UNUSUAL CIRCUMSTANCES VIA WRITTEN AND ORAL COMMUNICATION TO CLIENT AND/OR OTHER SECURITY PERSONNEL
  • Responding to and assessing security alarms or emergency alarms
  • Acting as a first responder in emergency situations
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
  • A Department of Defense (DoD) position-appropriate level security clearance (national security eligibility determinations take into account a person's stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment)
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • At least one of the following:
    • A minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site
    • Prior military experience
  • Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites
