Job Summary

The Public Security Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and administering security matters affecting the corporation. This includes managing and overseeing the corporation's security hardware and camera systems, fire systems, and contracted security services.

To be successful in this role, an individual must have:

  • Three to five years of transportation operations experience, preferably in fixed route operations or security management
  • An associate degree in Criminal Justice, Business Management, or a related field; a bachelor's degree is preferred
Key Responsibilities

The Public Security Coordinator will:

  • Review, investigate, and provide conclusions to all security-related incidents reported by internal and external customers
  • Coordinate with internal customer requests for video investigations
  • Document, assist, and audit all contracted Security Services
  • Assist with performance of annual security assessments
  • Maintain security policies and procedures
  • Monitor and process requests for access control and security clearance for internal and external candidates
  • Monitor fire suppression system panel as needed and work with vendors to troubleshoot, diagnose, inspect, and repair the systems as needed
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $45,000 - $50,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
