Job Description

Ryder System is seeking a dedicated SOLO Class A CDL Driver to join our team in Tumwater, WA. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for driving a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
  • Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
Benefits:
  • Weekly guarantee of 40 hours
  • Hourly pay: $30.00 per hour
  • Hours per week: 45 or more hours per week
  • Paid training
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, no weekends
  • Start time: 4:00 AM - 5:00 AM
