Job Summary:

Turning Point Home Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Mental Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will provide supervision, care, counseling, safety, and support to youth in our residential home settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement individual and group treatment plans to effect behavioral changes, providing security, controlling, and maintaining custody and safeguarding youth from each other.
  • Document all events that occur on the shift, including shift logs, reports, incident reports, inspections, and progress notes.
  • Assist in the care of patients who are struggling with behavioral health problems.
  • Monitor the patients' conditions and report any noteworthy variations to supervisors.
  • Assist in the creation of a safe and supportive care environment.
  • Offer emotional support to patients.
  • Carry out a variety of administrative tasks and assessments.
  • Follow all legal and professional guidelines for patient confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • Direct experience working with children/youth is required.
  • Experience working with children with emotional challenges, intellectual disabilities, and medical complexities is preferred.
  • Must have own reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Proof of TB and CPR certification (can obtain upon hire).
  • Ability to pass a background check.
