As a Tax Manager at Andersen, you will oversee multiple engagements for clients ranging from multi-national corporations to early-stage startups. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging in business development activities, such as preparing proposals and presenting in webinars, to collaborate with other service lines and present a comprehensive tax strategy to prospective and current clients.
  • Maintaining communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, remain current on legislative changes, and lead change effectively.
  • Conducting primary and secondary review of complex tax returns, including federal and state filings.
  • Providing ASC 740 tax provision support and review preparation.
  • Supervising, training, mentoring, and evaluating interns, associates, and senior associates.
  • Receiving formal corporate tax training, on-the-job training, direct feedback from top tax leaders, and the opportunity to pursue additional training through internal and external resources.
About the Benefits

Our firm offers competitive base compensation, a benefits package, and a discretionary employee bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics per the defined program guidelines. For individuals hired to work in Orange County, the expected salary range for this role is $132,000 to $190,100; the actual salary offer can vary based upon employee qualifications.   • Paid time off, beginning at 160 hours annually.

About the Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in an accounting firm, with at least 3 years of corporate tax experience.
  • A Bachelor's and/or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • An advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service, such as a CPA or JD.
  • A self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and the ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient use of technology.
