Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Financial Services Customer Service Specialist to join our team at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to patient inquiries and concerns regarding their medical bills and financial obligations.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to resolve billing and insurance-related issues.
  • Process and follow up on patient accounts, including financial assistance applications, medical assistance qualifications, and payment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and account information.
  • Stay current with changing regulations and policies related to patient financial services and revenue cycle management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Two years of prior customer service, billing, and account resolution experience required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Microsoft Office experience and strong organizational skills required.
  • Ability to apply analytical skills to resolve complex billing and insurance-related issues.
