Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Aerospace EMP

SARA, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our High Power Electromagnetics Division (HPEM). As an Aerospace EMP Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting research, design, development, and technical documentation on multiple projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform aircraft, missile, and other aerospace-related EMP assessments, including travel to airfields and facilities within the continental United States and overseas.
  • Design and develop aircraft hardening solutions to mitigate the effects of electromagnetic pulses.
  • Conduct research, design, development, fabrication, testing, and documentation of multidisciplinary engineering tasks on multiple projects and programs.
  • Write detailed technical reports and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Perform hands-on tests with knowledge of standard and advanced test and data acquisition equipment.
  • Collaborate with technical program managers to provide technical input and personnel resources as needed.
  • Travel up to 30% of the time to support customer and project requirements.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in applied electromagnetics, including RF or EMI/EMC, aerospace engineering, or pulsed power.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Programming skills and ability to organize, coordinate, and execute moderately-sized programs with teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain cost and schedule proficiency, customer expectations, and contract obligations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance.
  • US citizenship.
  • Moderate physical effort, involving standing, sitting, and use of hands while performing duties, carrying or lifting up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in applied electromagnetics, including RF or EMI/EMC, aerospace engineering, or pulsed power.
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
