Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Radiation Therapist to be part of our esteemed Radiation Oncology Department. This role is a Full-Time position, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week, and offers a competitive salary along with additional incentive pay for new employees.
About Us:
Adventist Health is a well-established healthcare provider, committed to serving the community with a wide range of medical services. Our facility includes a 49-bed hospital, various medical offices, home health services, and a birthing center, ensuring comprehensive care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer ionizing radiation to patients as per the prescriptions and guidelines provided by the department physicians.
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment according to patient needs and prescribed protocols.
- Explain treatment procedures to patients, ensuring they understand the process and feel comfortable.
- Monitor patients during treatment for any unusual reactions and report findings to the supervising physician.
- Maintain accurate records of daily treatments and patient charts to ensure all information is up-to-date and correct.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Radiological Technology or equivalent is preferred; a Master's Degree is also desirable.
- Experience in radiologic technology is preferred.
- Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (R.T.(T)(ARRT)) and hold the applicable State Certification of Therapeutic Radiologic Technology (RTT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.

- Strong communication skills to effectively explain procedures to patients.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Attention to detail in maintaining patient records and treatment documentation.
