Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Culinary Specialist is responsible for preparing meals according to established recipes and maintaining the highest standards of food safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Executing daily food preparation and production tasks.
  2. Ensuring all dishes are prepared according to company specifications regarding portion sizes, cooking techniques, and quality benchmarks.
  3. Properly handling, storing, and rotating all food products.
  4. Presenting dishes with appropriate plating and garnishing techniques.
  5. Contributing to the creation and development of new menu items.
  6. Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations.
  7. Washing and sanitizing kitchen utensils, cookware, and dining ware.
  8. Keeping kitchen stations stocked to facilitate efficient service.
  9. Receiving and checking stock deliveries from suppliers and assisting with inventory management.
  10. Closing the kitchen in accordance with established procedures and checklists.
  11. Adhering to the club's dress code and professional standards.
  12. Participating in all staff meetings and training sessions.
  13. Demonstrating a commitment to service excellence and fostering positive interactions with team members and guests.
  14. Completing additional tasks as directed by management.
  15. Maintaining regular and punctual attendance for all scheduled shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

The following qualifications are necessary for this position:

  1. Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  2. Effective verbal communication skills.
  3. Basic culinary knowledge and skills.
  4. Understanding of safe food handling practices and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. Prior experience in food preparation and cooking is advantageous.
  3. Certification in food handling is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to see and hear for reading documents, using a computer, answering phones, and communicating in person.

Standing and walking are required for 75-100% of the time.

Occasional climbing, stooping, squatting, and kneeling may be necessary.

Manual dexterity is required for using kitchen equipment and performing tasks.

Ability to lift items exceeding 25 pounds occasionally.
