Job Summary

The Mental Health Therapist II is a critical member of our team at Children's Hospital Of The King's Daughters, providing high-quality mental health services to children and adolescents. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for children and adolescents.
  • Provide evidence-based therapies, including individual, family, and group modalities, to address a range of mental health concerns.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of medical and mental health care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new programs and services.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Current Virginia Clinical license.
  • At least 5-7 years of post-license experience working with children and adolescents.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
