Role Summary
As a valued member of the Aircraft Services Team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our clients. In this position, you will be part of the Aircraft Customization team, executing a range of responsibilities including aircraft installations, inspections, fabrication, and modifications, all in line with relevant data and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct disassembly and reassembly of aircraft, along with scheduled inspections and Alert Service Bulletins.
- Execute major and minor repairs and modifications to the aircraft structure, encompassing sheet metal and composite repairs and fabrications.
- Fabricate mounting brackets and accurately measure, drill, and alter aircraft structures without inflicting damage to the structure or underlying components.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all work performed, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Candidates selected for this role will have the option of a weekday (Monday-Thursday) shift or a weekend shift (Friday-Sunday), depending on preference (if available) and business needs.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and capacity to follow instructions precisely.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in performing job duties, including basic measuring, drilling, and fabrication tasks.
- Capability to interpret detailed documents, technical manuals, and blueprints.
- Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2-3 years of experience as an aircraft mechanic, with a focus on structures.
- FAA Airframe Certificate is mandatory.
- Powerplant certification is advantageous and may qualify the selected candidate for a higher level/pay grade.
- Experience with Bell commercial models and/or completion of Bell field maintenance courses is preferred.
- Familiarity with the tools necessary to complete assigned tasks.
- Must provide personal tools.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders, and work stands.
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
- Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for various tasks.
- Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.
- Effective communication skills with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.
- Willingness to follow instructions and seek clarification when necessary.
