Job Summary:

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Structures Mechanic to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for examining, repairing, assembling, and testing aircraft accessories, such as engines, power brake units, and fuel tanks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance to prevent failures of aircraft mechanical systems and components.
  • Determine when a component should be repaired or replaced and decide upon the necessary repair scheme.
  • Repair, rework, and modify worn or defective assemblies, making alterations or changes to units when necessary.
  • Follow approved maintenance procedures for subject components or systems, consulting internal procedures and original equipment manufacturers' technical data.
  • Consult with the Maintenance Lead if technical assistance is needed during the repair process.
  • Inspect completed work before signing off to identify any needed rework and ensure that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances.
  • Perform serviceability tests on repaired components/systems using test equipment specified by the original equipment manufacturer.
  • Complete work package documentation by signing/stamping after finishing all designated operations.
  • Submit completed/in-progress work to the Maintenance Lead for review and to Quality Assurance for final/in-progress inspection and re-certification of airworthiness.

Requirements:

  • High School/ GED
  • 5+ years of aircraft repair experience, with regional jet repair experience highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with interpretation of original equipment manufacturers' technical data or work package instructions.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
  • Ability to interpret and comprehend manufacturer and FAA-approved work package instructions.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
