Christus Health is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our laboratory department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the activities of laboratory personnel, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct laboratory testing personnel to ensure adherence to quality control measures and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement effective procedures for managing laboratory operations, including personnel management, training, and quality control.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, departmental budget, and laboratory performance metrics.
- Implement and maintain current procedural manuals for all laboratory tests and procedures.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and address technical issues as needed to ensure high standards of service quality.
- Oversee quality control programs, ensure equipment maintenance, and participate in proficiency testing surveys.
- Prepare and submit administrative and technical reports as required to support laboratory operations.
- Train new staff and conduct in-service education sessions to enhance laboratory knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless laboratory operations and support business objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a healthcare or medical laboratory setting.
- Certification in medical technology or a related field is highly desirable.
