Design Engineer Opportunity

JobXSite, Inc. is seeking a talented Design Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of pre-engineered metal buildings and steel framing systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze customer requirements through drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Design metal buildings and accessories using MBS and other tools.
  • Collaborate with estimating to develop winning proposals and quotes for projects.
  • Work closely with production to identify and resolve design/manufacturing challenges.
  • Bridge the gap between engineering and manufacturing, fostering communication and collaboration for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise to ensure project success.
  • Address customer inquiries and provide technical support related to engineering design.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with internal teams to ensure project efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Civil or Structural Engineering degree (or equivalent) from a four-year college.
  • Five or more years of experience in structural design.
  • Strong foundation in engineering principles and design practices.
  • Proficiency in engineering software like MBS and excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience developing engineering design aids using C#, Excel (with VBA), and Python.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License and NCEES Record.
