Bartender Job Description

The Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service to guests in a timely and friendly manner. This includes preparing beverages to other servers, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mix and present drinks according to standard recipes and portion controls.
  • Maintain good customer relations and ensure speedy delivery of all beverages and food items.
  • Manage guest requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly and completely.
  • Requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, and stirrers based on daily function sheets.
  • Input orders into the register, create checks for each guest, and maintain accountability of all beverages served.
  • Record all sales, collect money, operate a cash register, and follow cash-handling procedures.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions, process guest checks efficiently and accurately.
  • Lock up and store all beverage, food, and equipment items, deposit cash drops, and secure the bank at the end of the shift.
  • Adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Follow proper Hotel safety policies and procedures, use safety equipment as needed, and report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma with two years of bartending experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Legal age to serve alcohol and actively TABC Certified.
  • Possess a Food Handlers Certification.
