Job Description

As a primary care specialist with VITAS Healthcare, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the emotional well-being of those affected by terminal illness. Your expertise will be valued as an expert in your field, and your contributions will be respected and essential to our hospice mission.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Must be a member in good standing on the medical staff of an accredited hospital in the state where the hospice is located.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practice of primary medical care, with at least a working knowledge of oncology.
  • Registration with the Drug Enforcement Agency to write scheduled prescriptions.
  • Medical malpractice and liability insurance in amounts and with carriers satisfactory to VITAS.
