Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing the Sales Support and Customer Service departments, dedicated to assisting Sales Representatives. The Sales Support Manager - Team Lead will manage the quality and consistency of product and service delivery to customers by meeting their needs, understanding their requirements, and providing product information. This role also resolves product or service issues, handles customer inquiries, and coordinates logistics for Sales Representatives' schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and train Sales Support team members in the sale of company products and services to current and potential clients.
  • Train and oversee answering customer service calls, order entry, identifying and resolving concerns, and managing customer accounts.
  • Be the point of contact for Sales Representatives for issues and concerns related to Sales Support.
  • Train and oversee the Sales Support team on proper administration and management of open orders, sales returns, and scanning customer purchase orders.
  • Help coordinate logistics for Sales Representatives' schedules, including setting customer appointments.
  • Identify sales opportunities with price adjustments, scheduling customers and prospects for product demonstrations.
  • Follow-up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activities.
  • Attend Sales meetings and trainings to better understand products and company initiatives.
  • Coordinate with various departments and department managers to accomplish work required to satisfy customer needs.
  • Identify opportunities to move deadstock to customers.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.

Work Environment

This role operates in a large room with own cubicle space. The Sales Support Manager - Team Lead will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, headsets, and photocopiers.

Physical Demands

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing and warehouse inspections for inventory are required. The Sales Support Manager - Team Lead must be able to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Warehouse inspections require navigating an active functioning warehouse and locating items in bins for verification purposes.
