Job Overview
This Lead Custodial Supervisor role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of staff engaged in various cleaning and laundry services essential for maintaining Assisted Living facilities, dining areas, office spaces, and similar environments in a pristine and organized state. All responsibilities must align with NANA Regional Corporation's mission, vision, and values, as well as established housekeeping policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute all tasks associated with janitorial duties or other designated roles.
  • Ensure compliance with all responsibilities assigned to team members.
  • Promote and embody NANA Core Values within the workplace.
  • Guide and mentor assigned housekeeping and janitorial personnel.
  • Facilitate training for new hires and provide continuous education for current staff.
  • Regularly manage, replenish, and distribute assigned inventories.
  • Conduct inspections to uphold the quality of services delivered.
  • Oversee the maintenance and care of associated equipment.
  • Lead safety meetings and ensure daily operations comply with safety standards set by the company and clients.
  • Guarantee that all quality benchmarks and operational procedures for staff are met.
  • Address minor maintenance issues or client emergencies as they arise, taking steps for long-term resolution.
  • Assist team members in resolving work-related challenges.
  • Identify, address, or report safety hazards present at the site.
  • Ensure availability of all necessary HazCom documentation.
  • Alert supervisors if safety and sanitation standards are not being upheld.
  • This position includes supervisory responsibilities for staff.
  • Additional duties pertinent to the success of the department or unit may also be assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience demonstrating knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment and industrial cleaning processes.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in commercial housekeeping.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a related field.
  • Successful completion of all pre-employment contract requirements, which may include background checks and drug testing.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team with colleagues, customers, and clients.
  • Capable of making independent decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Employees must be proficient in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing English.
  • Must adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations established by the company and clients.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Environment: Indoor/Outdoor
Noise Level: Moderate to Loud
Description: Employees are required to stand, walk, climb, push, pull, use hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly. Exposure to fumes or airborne particles may occur, and there may be contact with toxic or caustic chemicals.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
