Job Summary

Thompson Engineering is seeking a skilled Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team in Texas. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of construction materials used in various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and test soil, asphalt, and concrete materials according to company and client guidelines.
  • Perform tests using ASTM methods and enter data manually onto the proper forms.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment, and perform general maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Assist other departments as required, and ensure quality in every step of the testing process.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and maintain regular attendance.
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • General maintenance skills and basic math skills.
  • Ability to learn and follow instructions, and possess ACI Level I or II certification.
  • Nuclear gauge certification required, and six months experience in construction materials testing preferred.
