Responsabilidades del Especialista en Cuentas por Cobrar:

  • Resolver problemas con las aseguradoras mediante comunicación telefónica, en línea o por escrito.
  • Atender llamadas de pacientes relacionadas con cuestiones de seguros, asegurando su satisfacción.
  • Comunicar problemas recurrentes de procesamiento de seguros al equipo de facturación.
  • Asistir a los líderes del equipo de facturación en la identificación de áreas que requieren educación del personal.
  • Registrar explicaciones de beneficios de no pago y denegaciones en los archivos de notas de la oficina de facturación.
  • Trabajar en informes de antigüedad semanalmente para mantener los recibos de seguros actualizados.
  • Participar en reuniones programadas con la administración para discutir cuentas por cobrar y proponer ideas para mejorar la recaudación.
  • Realizar otras tareas según sea necesario.

Funciones de Entrada de Cargos:

  • Registrar cargos en Allscripts PM a partir de formularios de encuentro de proveedores y de importaciones automatizadas dentro del plazo establecido.
  • Verificar y rastrear formularios de encuentro diarios y cargos hospitalarios.
  • Aplicar pagos de copago a la fecha de servicio correcta.

Funciones del Especialista en Pagos:

  • Procesar depósitos diarios y transferencias electrónicas de fondos.
  • Registrar pagos en cuentas dentro del plazo indicado.
  • Monitorear remesas electrónicas para identificar pagos no recibidos.
  • Supervisar sobrepagos y subpagos, enviando explicaciones de beneficios al gerente de facturación.
  • Distribuir el correo del departamento de facturación según sea necesario.
  • Realizar otras tareas asignadas.

Habilidades Adicionales:

  • Capacidad para interpretar documentos como documentos de seguros y manuales de procedimientos.
  • Habilidad para redactar informes y correspondencia rutinaria.
  • Capacidad para comunicarse de manera efectiva ante grupos.
  • Habilidad para realizar cálculos de descuentos, intereses y porcentajes.

Conocimientos, Habilidades y Capacidades:

  • Se prefiere título de asociado.
  • Más de 3 años de experiencia profesional en facturación médica, preferiblemente en un entorno clínico ambulatorio.
  • Conocimiento práctico de Allscripts PM y EMR.
  • Excelentes habilidades de comunicación verbal y escrita.
  • Capacidad para comunicarse de manera clara y efectiva con una población diversa.
  • Competencia en el uso de Microsoft Office (Word y Excel).
