Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Community Living Specialist to join our team at the Bowery Residents Committee. As a key member of our residential treatment program, you will work closely with clients to provide support and guidance in achieving their goals and improving their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks and provide support in maintaining a safe and healthy environment
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans to meet the unique needs of each client
  • Provide counseling and guidance to clients to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to client care
  • Participate in community meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings to share knowledge and best practices
  • Be on call during off-hours to provide emergency support and assistance to clients
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (social work, psychology, etc.) or several years of experience in a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in software applications
  • CPR training certification or willingness to obtain
