Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assist in serving meals and beverages to guests, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate ability to read and comprehend Banquet Event Orders, ensuring accurate execution of events.
  • Supervise and assist in setting up of Suites, Pantries, Premium Clubs, Hospitality Decks, and other catering spaces prior to any event, ensuring a seamless experience for our guests.
  • Develop and maintain full knowledge of the food and beverage menu, including ingredients, portion sizes, pricing, and preparation methods, to effectively communicate with staff and guests.
  • Record guest orders on the POS System in the pantry, relay orders to the kitchen, and deliver orders to guests in a timely manner, ensuring exceptional service.
  • Assist runners as needed to ensure food is delivered to guests in a timely manner, maintaining a high level of service.
  • Follow established timelines to ensure food is ready for service at designated times, maintaining a high level of efficiency.
  • Report any equipment issues to the Catering Manager, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing downtime.
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas, adhering to company policies and regulations.
  • Assist with cleaning up remaining food product and equipment after events, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
  • Evaluate designated Catering spaces after each event for proper cleanliness and inventory levels, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assist with administrative duties, including monthly inventory, to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Demonstrate ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance, ensuring a consistent and reliable presence on the job.

Requirements

  • Ability to supervise the work of others, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English, ensuring effective communication with guests and staff.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as related to cash/credit transactions, ensuring accurate handling of financial transactions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced food and beverage environment, demonstrating ability to lead and manage teams.
