MRI Technologist Per Diem

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for preparing patients for MRI examinations, operating specialized equipment, and assisting radiologists with patient care during procedures.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for MRI examinations, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Operate MRI equipment, maintaining a high level of technical proficiency and adhering to safety guidelines.
- Assist radiologists with patient care during procedures, providing exceptional support and ensuring accurate imaging results.
- Review patient medical records to verify physician orders prior to examination.
- Cross-train in other specialty areas to enhance skills and contribute to the team's success.
- Inspect films for quality, monitoring patient information and medical record numbers.
- Assist with training new technologists and technical assistants in all phases of assigned procedures.
- Implement Standard Precautions on all patients, adhering to hospital policy.
- Adjust to variable schedules and procedure techniques as required.
- Report equipment malfunctions to supervisors and clinical engineering immediately.
- Maintain and stock rooms with necessary supplies for radiologic examinations.
- Demonstrate knowledge and proper use of computer programs, particularly EPIC and SYNAPSE systems.
- Complete exam data entry and necessary paperwork for each case.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (MR) and hold a current Florida General Radiographer license from the Department of HRS, Radiation Control.
- Graduate of an AMA Accredited Educational Radiologic Technology Program for Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
- One to five years of clinical experience, with at least one year in MRI.
