Job Title: Driver

Les' Sanitary, a Waste Connections company, is seeking a safety-conscious Driver to join our team in North Bend, OR.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Driver to operate an Automated truck collecting solid waste and transporting it to appropriate disposal sites. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class A or B CDL with air brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate an Automated truck to collect solid waste and transport it to disposal sites.
  • Read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
  • Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
  • Load and unload waste bins, move them to positions accessible by truck, and close all enclosure gates as necessary.
  • Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse, operate compactor, and dispose of collected material at the designated facility.
  • Clean up the area around accidental waste spills.
  • Complete daily reports on pre and post trip inspections of equipment.
  • Fuel vehicle daily and maintain the physical appearance of the equipment, including routine washing.
  • Monitor over and under filled carts/containers to assess changing service requirements.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Courteous interaction with customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

The Driver will work in a fast-paced environment with extensive physical activity, requiring strenuous physical work, heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 50 pounds. The employee will be exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration.

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Valid Class A or B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
