Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Operator to join our team at CarMax. As a key member of our Service Department, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences by providing prompt and friendly service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer all incoming service calls in a professional and courteous manner, displaying empathy and a positive tone throughout the customer interaction.
  • Assist Customer Advisors/Service Consultants with customers as needed, ensuring seamless communication and resolution.
  • Provide written messages to the responsible party in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accurate and complete information.
  • Complete reminder calls for customers scheduled for an appointment, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Audit all sublet invoices to ensure compliance with CarMax guidelines, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Ensure the loaner log and dealer tags are always in compliance with audit requirements, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Accountable to Associate 1 Competency Model, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrate exceptional telephone etiquette and active listening skills, ensuring effective communication with customers and colleagues.
  • Execute Retail Service Standardized Work, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Maintain or exceed CarMax guidelines for customer satisfaction, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Read, interpret, and transcribe data in order to maintain proper records, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including spreadsheet knowledge, to effectively manage and maintain records.
