KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Formulate and disseminate the daily production schedule.
- Generate and issue work orders based on system requirements, manage system alerts, and uphold work order timelines that align with organizational metrics.
- Monitor the flow of components throughout the facility and provide timely updates to Sales and other departments regarding status and anticipated delivery timelines.
- Initiate requisitions as needed for quotes and procurement to ensure timely delivery of parts or services.
- Oversee procurement activities, including maintaining multiple supply sources, confirming that planned purchase orders align with demand, and suggesting modifications in quantities to leverage pricing advantages.
- Guarantee the uninterrupted supply of raw materials and outsourced operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure urgent actions are taken to produce and deliver components punctually.
- Engage with the Sales team to proactively communicate any delays and coordinate rescheduling efforts to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with engineering to schedule necessary testing, minimizing disruptions to the production schedule.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of plant operations and equipment to facilitate effective planning.
- Assess non-conformances and engineering modifications to adjust work orders as necessary.
- Foster effective relationships with suppliers and their representatives.
- Regularly revise work order due dates based on changes in internal capacity and vendor delivery schedules.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at shortening the supply chain, enhancing fill rates, and optimizing inventory levels.
- Adhere to all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- Execute any additional job responsibilities as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience is required, or equivalent knowledge/education preferred in:
- Manufacturing settings
- Planning
- Project Management
- Technical knowledge in the Oil and Gas sector.
- Experience with ERP software is essential - familiarity with Oracle ERP is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly with strong Excel capabilities.
- Ability to pass a drug screening and background investigation.
- Capability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Capacity to meet or exceed departmental standards.
- Willingness to adapt and be cross-trained in all job functions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality are essential.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; self-motivated.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
