Job Description

At Birdon America, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Pipe and Mechanical Planner to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and through-build support of Production Work Packages.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Apply extensive craft knowledge and experience to break down and sequence the engineering design within the 3D model and scheduling software.
  • Define work requirements, including budget, logic, task notes, and resource, establishing interfaces in accordance with the build strategy, completions, and test and commissioning.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Production, Test and Commissioning throughout the process, facilitating formal stakeholder reviews of the plan intent and schedule at PreBuild Reviews, and Plan of the Week.
  • Manage Productions work execution, generating and supporting schedule look ahead (12 Week and 4 Weeks), communicating the plan intent for planned hours, resource, and tooling requirements.

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of pipe and mechanical installation in a construction environment (shipbuilding preferred).
  • Experience in planning and scheduling – defining packages of work.
  • Strong MS Office Skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collectively with the Program Team.
