Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by setting up equipment, instruments, and sterile supplies.
  • Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures, passing instruments and supplies as needed.
  • Ensure accurate counting and handling of surgical instruments, supplies, and specimens.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
Requirements
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Technologist Surgery Certified (TSC) is required.
  • Completion of a formal surgical technician program offered by a community or junior college, vocational school, university, hospital, or the military.
  • 0-2 years' experience in surgical technology, with recent and upcoming graduates from accredited programs encouraged to apply.
