Advanced Quantum Physicist

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Quantum Physicist to join our team and contribute to the advancement of quantum information science. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide direct quantum support. You will also mentor and learn from teammates, and shape research directions both with clients and through internal investments.
About the OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity to use your analytical and experimental skills to improve quantum computing, communications, and sensing capabilities for the U.S. Government. You will have the chance to work on cutting-edge projects and collaborate with a team of experts in the field.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage small to medium-sized projects
- Contribute to the development of technology business plans and roadmaps
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide direct quantum support
- Mentor and learn from teammates
- Shape research directions both with clients and through internal investments
- Experience leading and managing small to medium-sized projects
- Knowledge of a wide range of quantum computing hardware, control electronics, and environmental control requirements
- Ability to convey complex concepts to a diverse audience both written and verbally
- Ability to work collaboratively in a manner that leverages diverse backgrounds and expertise
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Materials Sciences and 9+ years of experience with quantum mechanics or quantum effects, Master's degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Materials Sciences and 6+ years of experience with quantum mechanics or quantum effects, or a Doctorate degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Materials Sciences and 4+ years of experience with quantum mechanics or quantum effects
- Experience with programming languages like C++ and Python
- Experience with software version control and containerization
- Experience with leading the development of technology business plans and roadmaps, building and managing teams of scientists and engineers to execute against business plans, and managing associated resources, such as hardware and funding
