About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Loss Prevention Officer to join our team at Tillys. As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will play a critical role in protecting our assets and ensuring the safety of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Train Security Personnel: Assist in supervising and training contracted security officers to ensure they are following schedules and protocols.
  • Enforce Safety Guidelines: Assist in enforcing safety guidelines as outlined by the Retail Support Center (RSC) Loss Prevention Manager.
  • Access Control: Assist in maintaining access control, including issuing visitor name badges and ensuring compliance with access control policies.
  • Opening and Closing Procedures: Assist with opening and closing procedures for the RSC and Distribution Center (DC).
  • Loss Prevention Auditing: Assist with loss prevention auditing and testing programs, including incoming high-value vendor audits, incoming truck audits, sensor compliance, employee parking enforcement, and monthly fire extinguisher tests.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with distribution center inventories and maintain inventory levels of loss prevention equipment for stores and the RSC.
  • Investigations: Conduct investigations as warranted, including accidents, internal theft, sexual harassment, vandalism, and misconduct.
  • Maintenance of CCTV Systems: Maintain the RSC CCTV DVR/IP system, including installation and replacement of cameras and surveillance of areas of concern.
  • Special Events: Assist with special and planned events, such as tent sales, autograph signings, and grand openings.
Requirements
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required; minimum two years of loss prevention/security experience or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
