Job Title: Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team at Trios Medical Group in Kennewick, WA.

**Job Summary:** The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience in organizing patient medical records and examination rooms, as well as proficiency in vital signs monitoring and patient preparation for exams. They should be able to assist physicians during exams and procedures, accurately chart medical records, explain care plans and procedures to patients, schedule diagnostic testing, and discuss care directives.

**Responsibilities:

  • Organize patient medical records and examination rooms before appointments
  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure cleanliness and appropriate stocking
  • Perform vital signs monitoring and assist patients in preparation for exams
  • Chaperone during exams and provide assistance as required
  • Gather surgical and prep trays for procedures
  • Clearly and concisely chart medical records
  • Ancillary skills include assessing patients using age-appropriate techniques, explaining care plans and procedures to patients, scheduling diagnostic testing, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and health and safety policies, educating patients on preventative medicine protocols and healthy lifestyle practices, practicing excellent customer service and communication with customers and staff, and operating computer systems proficiently for patient care and communication.

**Requirements:

  • Current Washington State MA-C license in good standing
  • MA-C program completion
  • Experience in organizing patient medical records and examination rooms
  • Proficiency in vital signs monitoring and patient preparation for exams
  • Ability to assist physicians during exams and procedures
  • Knowledge of charting medical records accurately
  • Skill in explaining care plans and procedures to patients
  • Capability to schedule diagnostic testing and discuss care directives
  • Familiarity with infection control procedures and patient rights
  • Proficiency in operating computer systems for patient care and communication
