Job Overview

Team Ford Las Vegas is seeking skilled Automotive Service Technicians and Used Vehicle Technicians with a smog certification. Our facility is equipped with advanced technology, including a DYNO for diesel emissions testing, ensuring we provide top-notch service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute tasks as detailed on repair orders with precision and speed.
  • Identify the root cause of vehicle issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Coordinate with the parts department to secure required components.
  • Tag and save parts for warranty purposes or upon customer request.
  • Inspect assigned vehicles to assess the need for additional safety or service work.
  • Promptly inform the service advisor of any additional repairs needed, unnecessary work, or delays in completion.
  • Document all services performed and recommendations on the repair order.
  • Conduct road tests on vehicles as necessary or refer to the designated test technician.
  • Engage in manufacturer-sponsored training sessions and events.
  • Stay updated on manufacturer technical bulletins.
  • Report any equipment defects or issues to the supervisor.
  • Ensure that customer vehicles are maintained in a clean condition, notifying the service advisor of any changes in appearance or condition.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized shop environment.
  • Account for all dealership-owned tools and manuals, returning them in their original condition.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal and safety protocols.
  • Operate all tools and equipment safely.
  • Immediately report any safety concerns to management.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are necessary:


EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Two to four years of relevant experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE ABILITY

  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Capable of writing basic correspondence and effectively presenting information in small group settings.
  • Ability to interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

MATH SKILLS

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and interpret data such as rates and ratios.
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and percentages.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions and solve practical problems.
  • Ability to analyze data and draw valid conclusions.

CERTIFICATIONS

Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications are preferred.
