Warehouse Supervisor Job Description

KeHE Distributors is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receiving and stocking of inbound freight, coordinating the selection and loading of product, and maintaining high standards related to the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively communicate with internal contacts regarding warehouse processes that impact customers and transportation.
  • Establish and implement operational policies and procedures, including production, receiving, routing, inventory, and transportation.
  • Ensure quality and safety standards are adhered to and manage associate staffing.
  • Implement new processes to increase efficiencies while reducing costs.
  • Ensure warehouse compliance with all state and federal laws, including OSHA.
  • Ensure timely associate training and troubleshoot systems issues that affect delivery and receiving of product.
  • Plan daily and weekly production activities when necessary.
  • Ensure all food safety compliance and administer company-sponsored safety programs correctly.
  • Proactively improve labor relations and maintain good attendance.
  • Maintain safeguards of confidential company information and safe work practices.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three to five years of previous warehouse/logistics management experience required.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and RF systems required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to communicate well with internal and external customers and management.
  • Ability to follow safe working practices and efficiently work independently of direct supervision.
