About the Role

  • You will assess and diagnose patient needs to develop effective plans of care.
  • You will implement medical plans of care, nursing interventions, and procedures as necessary for patient care.
  • You will evaluate and reassess patient responses to ensure overall quality of care delivered.
  • You will maintain accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure integration of information for use by the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • You will perform admission assessments and identify patient/family/significant other teaching needs.
  • You will develop, discuss, and communicate realistic problem lists (plans of care) with patients and families.
  • You will demonstrate knowledge of hospital policies and procedures for administering medications.
  • You will initiate and maintain IV access according to hospital policy and procedures.
  • You will assess and document IV sites per unit standard.
  • You will identify priorities and execute nursing care appropriately.
  • You will provide emotional support and comfort measures to patients and families.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • You must possess a RN - Associate Degree and be licensed in good standing with the Georgia Board of Nursing.
  • You should have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, with a preference for those who hold BSN degrees.
  • You should be able to work effectively in situations of high stress and conflict, communicating goals and outcomes clearly.
  • You should have basic computer literacy and ability to use safety equipment properly.
