About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Diagnostic Imaging department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follows all Quality Control policies and procedures for compliance with departmental, local, state and federal regulations.
  • Uses radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations, hospital policy, and to ensure safety of patients and staff.
  • Greets patients politely and efficiently.
  • Takes thorough and accurate patient medical histories.
  • Clearly explains procedures to patients in English and observes patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan.
  • Seeks out interpreter services if needed.
  • Sets up examination rooms, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiological technology program.
  • Registered by the ARRT or registry eligible. License from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Health: Radiation Control Program must be received within a year of employment. Must maintain licensure on an annual basis.
  • CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Radiological Technologist.
