Mammography Technologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at UMass Memorial Health. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for operating Mammography Equipment and performing Mammography Exams. You will make a psychological and physical assessment of each patient, making adjustments in the standard imaging procedures and techniques to accommodate patient size, age or condition using universal protocol and sterile techniques as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Operate Mammography Equipment and perform Mammography Exams
• Make a psychological and physical assessment of each patient
• Record all pertinent breast history from the patient
• Adhere to established departmental policies and procedures
• Clean and maintain all accessory equipment

Requirements:

• Registration in both Diagnostic Radiology and Mammography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Licensed by the State of Massachusetts as a mammography technologist
• BLS healthcare provider required before completion of 90 day probationary period

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in the field
