Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist PRN to join our team at UF Health Shands. As a PRN Physical Therapist, you will provide rehabilitation services in the acute setting, working to create and customize the best course of treatment for patients with conditions that limit their ability to move, be active, communicate, swallow, and complete daily tasks and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to maximize physical performance and achieve functional outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address cognitive and psychosocial components of care.
  • Provide rehabilitation services in various service areas, including Cardiac, Vascular surgery, Thoracic surgery, Heart and Lung Transplant, Neurosurgery, and Neurology.
  • Work in a fast-paced acute setting, prioritizing patient care and adapting to changing situations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher as designated by professional license.
  • New graduates welcome; experience or fieldwork in the acute setting preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with others and work as a team.
  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Florida.
