Position Overview

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver the engineering necessary for the completion of the HPC MEH piping scope on-site. This includes conducting on-site piping pressure tests and managing subsequent tasks such as flushing, drying, and preservation, leading up to the handover to the Commissioning team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the activities of Installation Contractors to ensure that pressure tests and subsequent tasks are prepared and executed in compliance with nuclear safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure that Installation Contractors prepare the necessary documentation related to pressure tests and subsequent activities (flushing, drying, preservation) prior to handover to Commissioning.
  • Facilitate communication between:
    • Installation Contractors' pressure test teams
    • Installation Contractors' construction teams
    • Contracts Project Managers
    • Engineering colleagues responsible for upstream activities
    • Building leads
    • Commissioning teams
    • Pressure compliance teams, competent persons, and conformity assessment bodies
  • Assist in resolving technical issues related to pressure tests and subsequent activities:
    • Definition and provision of temporary components
    • Supply of demineralized water
    • Treatment of effluent
    • Exemption requests
  • Organize reviews with various stakeholders on pressure test documentation, including loop definitions and procedures.
  • Ensure that post-construction activity requirements are integrated into the construction sequence (e.g., Hydro pressure test loop definitions, Commissioning Test Pack reviews and approvals).
  • Coordinate all engineering activities to support the construction sequence, including identifying and implementing process improvements and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience

Essential:
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role related to pressure testing and completion activities.
  • Detail-oriented and methodical approach to engineering, ensuring high professional standards.
  • Proven ability to deliver engineering solutions safely, on time, and within budget in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively coordinate the delivery of project scope through team empowerment and collaboration.
  • Ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Capacity to work independently while recognizing personal limitations.
  • Understanding of contractual and commercial frameworks.
Desirable:
  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status with a recognized engineering institution.
  • In-depth knowledge of PWR design and experience in PWR operations.
  • Experience in piping engineering, installation, and/or commissioning.
  • Familiarity with the French language is advantageous.
  • Good understanding of CDM Regulations.
