Job Title: Parenting Coach & Therapist

Brigid Collins Family Support Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending child abuse by supporting families with education and resources. We are seeking a Parenting Coach & Therapist to join our Parenting Support Program team.

Job Summary:

The Parenting Coach & Therapist will provide high-quality services to children, families, and caregivers using evidence-based practices. This includes one-on-one parent coaching sessions, family and dyadic-therapy sessions, and classes and seminars. The ideal candidate will have experience working with both parents/caregivers and children, knowledge of child mental health and development, and the ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage referrals for appointments and engage caregivers in comprehensive family assessments.
  • Provide high-quality services to children, families, and caregivers using evidence-based practices.
  • Complete required paperwork by due dates, including case notes and monthly billing.
  • Maintain DOH licensure requirements and complete training and quality assurance activities per contract requirements.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with contractors, referrers, community partners, and model trainers/consultants.
  • Attend agency mandatory meetings, supervision, and required training.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in a discipline that would qualify the individual for WA DOH licensure as a licensed social worker, mental health counselor, or marriage and family therapist.
  • Associate Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Social Worker with the State of Washington or ability to achieve licensure within 6 months of being hired.
  • Two years of relevant professional experience.
  • Prior training and experience in evidence-based parenting curricula and treatment models for childhood trauma are preferred.
