Job Title: Parenting Coach and Therapist

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Whatcom and Skagit Counties

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Parenting Coach and Therapist to join our team at Brigid Collins Family Support Center. As a Parenting Coach and Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting families with the education and resources they need to ensure that every child can reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage referrals for appointments and engage caregivers in comprehensive family assessments.
  • Provide high-quality services to children, families, and caregivers using evidence-based practices in one-on-one parent coaching sessions, family and dyadic-therapy sessions, and classes and seminars.
  • Complete required paperwork by due dates, including case notes and monthly billing.
  • Maintain DOH licensure requirements and complete training and quality assurance activities per contract requirements.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with contractors, referrers, community partners, and model trainers/consultants.
  • Attend agency mandatory meetings, supervision, and required training.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in a discipline that would qualify the individual for WA DOH licensure as a licensed social worker, mental health counselor, or marriage and family therapist.
  • Associate Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Social Worker with the State of Washington or ability to achieve licensure within 6 months of being hired.
  • Two years of relevant professional experience.
  • Prior training and experience in evidence-based parenting curricula and treatment models for childhood trauma are preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is desired but not required.
