Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Operator 2nd Shift to join our team at Mauser Packaging Solutions. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently, meeting production standards, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate Manufacturing Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate all manufacturing equipment, including presses, palletizers, seamers, and slitters.
  • Meet Production Standards: Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time, ensuring high-quality products and efficient production processes.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment: Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for yourself and others.
  • Quality Assurance: Responsible for safety and quality throughout the production process, including following all safety procedures and performing manual and visual quality inspection of products as assigned.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Responsible for cleaning equipment and area before, during, and after shift, ensuring optimal equipment performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Product Sorting: May be responsible for sorting product as needed to ensure quality shipments, meeting customer expectations and company standards.
  • Changeovers: Assist in changeovers when needed, ensuring smooth transitions between production runs and minimizing downtime.
  • Cross-Training: Is responsible for cross-training across multiple operations, including presses, palletizers, seamers, and slitters, to ensure flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work directly with team members to meet all safety, quality, and productivity goals, promoting a positive and collaborative team environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
  • Communication Skills: Must have the willingness and ability to effectively communicate with peers, supervisors, and other levels of the organization to create a positive, team-oriented environment.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and write in English.
  • Math Skills: Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and taking measurements.
  • Availability: Must be willing to work evening or night shift and weekends as needed based on business need.
