Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Review and print the provider's schedule on a daily basis

• Ensure the waiting areas are kept tidy and organized

• Confirm patient insurance details and personal information at each visit

• Digitally scan insurance cards and valid photo identification into the electronic medical record (EMR) system

• Schedule follow-up appointments for patients as necessary

• Collect co-pays, surgical deposits, and outstanding account balances from patients when applicable

• Assist in coordinating patient care related to pre-operative and post-operative requirements, such as crutch training, braces, and durable medical equipment applications

• Process checks through the banking system

• Digitally file end-of-day documentation, including DME/ABN paperwork and registration payment worksheets into the appropriate electronic folders or deliver to the designated area
