The Regional Human Resources Manager plays a pivotal role in our distribution operations, overseeing HR initiatives across multiple locations. This position is crucial for the effective management of our Des Plaines facility, along with sites in Washington, Colorado, and California. Reporting directly to the HR Director, this role includes leadership responsibilities for a team of three HR professionals.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM, onsite
  • Travel requirements: up to 50% (including quarterly visits to all supported facilities and an annual trip to Corporate)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver HR support at the Des Plaines distribution center by driving HR objectives and practices
  • Lead a team of HR business partners supporting distribution centers in Denver, CO, Tacoma, WA, and Fontana, CA
  • Advise and guide Distribution Center leadership on employee relations, legal compliance, staffing strategies, and disciplinary procedures
  • Oversee Performance Management processes across all locations, including talent assessments, annual reviews, succession planning, and employee development
  • Conduct investigations in Des Plaines and mentor HR Associates to ensure comprehensive investigations and resolutions
  • Manage administrative HR functions in Des Plaines, including payroll audits, I9 compliance, and file maintenance, while identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements
  • Assist with Union-related activities, including grievance resolution and negotiation strategies at the Fontana, CA location
  • Travel requirements: up to 50% (including quarterly visits to all supported facilities and an annual trip to Corporate)

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience as a senior HR professional in a distribution or manufacturing setting
  • Bachelor's degree required (preferably in HR or Business)
  • Knowledge and training in key HR areas such as talent management, employment law, compensation and benefits, organizational planning, employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and workplace safety
  • A minimum of five years of progressive HR leadership experience
  • Preferred candidates will have 3-4 years of experience in a distribution center or manufacturing environment with a workforce of 40 or more
