Critical Rotating Equipment Specialist

Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Critical Rotating Equipment Engineer to join our team at BASF Corporation. As a Critical Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for providing on-site and remote support to continuously improve rotating equipment availability and provide solutions for specific equipment performance issues at multiple BASF manufacturing sites in North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and correct issues to ensure sustained plant reliability to meet customer expectations.
- Interface closely with regional and global colleagues with a high level of experience and range of knowledge to continuously develop and implement best practices related to various types of rotating equipment.
- Support plant maintenance and reliability teams by working together to diagnose issues, develop and implement repairs and corrective actions for planned and emergency repairs, overhauls and outages.
- Lead and participate in site Reliability Programs including Bad Actor Program, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Root Cause Failure Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Risk Based Maintenance, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required. Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is preferred.
- ~10 years of experience in rotating equipment troubleshooting and repair to support manufacturing sites.
- ~ Ability to make crucial business decisions and recommendations to identify areas for improvement and increase equipment reliability.
- ~ Experience providing input on capital projects is a plus.
